The Challenge:

A Boston-based real estate development company, Cathartes Private Investments, called Infinite Imaging™ as the result of a referral from one of our other customers. The company needed some fast signage at one of its condominium projects in downtown Portsmouth. The signs had to be produced and set up on-site in time for a groundbreaking ceremony that was happening in less than a week. But the client had yet to determine the best placement strategy and get the necessary permits. What made this project a little tricky was that although the signs needed to be highly visible and have as much impact as possible, they couldn't obstruct other street signs, construction site signage, or the adjacent chain link fence.

Our Solution:

Infinite Imaging measured and evaluated the site to determine the best signage sizes and placement strategy. After this initial planning session, we presented our recommendation to the client. That's when we found out that some jersey barriers had since been moved into position, leaving even less space for signage!

To overcome this obstacle, the Infinite Imaging team met with the client on-site, and we mapped out a revised placement strategy together. Next, we obtained the required permits and began production of the 3-foot by 12-foot banners. We recommended using scrim vinyl, because it's a heavy-duty waterproof material, best suited for outdoor situations. We also used UV ink to prevent the color from fading, and laminated the surface to protect the banners from the all the dirt and dust so common on construction sites.

The client previewed the banners in the final stages of production and before they were laminated and erected on-site. The Infinite Imaging team attended the groundbreaking ceremony, which was a proud moment for us too, as we had succeeded in delivering under some unusually challenging circumstances.
