The Challenge:
The historic Strawbery Banke Museum preserves a large number of historic homes located in a special section of downtown Portsmouth, New Hampshire. One of the homes, the Winn House, was undergoing extensive redecorating, a project that incorporated reproductions of over 65 historic photos, maps, art, facts and stories that were going to be placed throughout the home's three floors.
Our Solution:
Infinite Imaging's graphic design team met with the museum's curator to tour the house, take measurements and get a comprehensive understanding of the placement and mediums needed. We then provided mock samples of various font sizes and background color options for text blocks that would accompany the images presented.
Once we received all the images, we scanned, retouched, enlarged, printed, mounted and laminated each one as necessary. In addition, we put hooks and wires on every piece that was going to be hung up on a wall. Due to circumstances outside the control of Strawbery Banke, Infinite Imaging did not receive any of the images until just one week prior to opening day. However, our graphic design and production team was still able to complete the project on time and with stunning results.
